Need help on Nad cdp 5425

Hello Masters

Just a Q's regarding my cdp.recently I bought an old nad 5425 and change all the caps to(elna,pana),op-amps(opa2134)and the diode (11DQ10).but when you play it it's skip on the first track.I dont have any ossiloscope and analyzer to used.

Are you sure it's not just a coincidence? If you just bought it maybe you didn't notice it before now?

Hi there,
Maybe I did not notice it on the first place.Is there any solution regarding on this symptom.I used a cd cleaner but the problem is still there.is there any adjustments or do I need to replace the laser assembly.

I wouldn't know what to do either, except try manually cleaning the lens with a fine brush and looking through a magnifier. Also perhaps lubing the bearings if they're accessible.

Your pickup is probably tired.

There are some adjustments that might improve things. But most require the use of a 'scope.

Please, don't tweak around various adjustments, because you might loose reference.

A new pickup should get you up and running. Its a KSS210A SONY type pickup. not very expensive.

Let me know how things turn out...
