I just picked up a SD-5700 dvd player.. and it doesn't power on or anything! the fuse looks and tests out... the guy i got it from said he had it sitting for a few years and thought before he sold it he would do the firmware again. well it froze up on him so he decided to just power it down well, now it doesn't power up... anyone know what could have happened?

No Ideas? I did obtain a service manual, and in the parts list they have what is called the data update kit, u have to hook up to your computer and if one replaced some of the ic's rewrite the info into them. I wonder if it locked up when the firmware was tried twice and then power shutoff when it wasn't loading anymore?
