CD Associates inc?? test gear???

Anyone familiar with test gear by a company called CD Associates inc??? they seem to be out of business now. but it appears to be some sort of CD player test gear. There is no model number on it so im curious if anyone here knows anything about this company or there products.

Ok so i spoke with a guy that used to work for CD Assoc and he told me this device is used for Teac/Tascam cd transport calibration in the field.

"CD Associates made Quality Control Equipment for the Optical Disc
manufacturing industry. The drive that they used in their equipment was made
by TEAC/TASCAM. This device was created by CD Associates so that they could
calibrate these TEAC/TASCAM drives in the field. It was utilized by large
customers who had many of these drives...This device is specific for that TEAC/ TASCAM drive"
