Hi,
I would like to run a CXD2500Q Digital Signal Processor in parallel with an aged CX-23035. The goal is to possibly enhance EFM-demodultaion an error correction of the EFM signal. So the CXD2500 should only demodulate EFM, feed the digital filter (SM5804b) via data, wordclock, bitclock, and provide SPDIF out. No further implementation in the basic circuitry, when possible. The CX-23035 runs with 8.4672Mhz, the CXD-2500Q with 16,9344 mhz, I alreday have a Tentlabs clock in my player which provides both frequencies so this should not be a problem. But: Both chips also control the CLV-servo for the spindle motor. Luckily, both players have the same spindle motors, but different desgins for amplifying the motor signal. In theory: Does the CXD-2500 has to control the CLV servo instead of the CX-23035 to work properly? Or ist this a no-brainer, because both IC´s are hooked on the same system clock and I can leave CLV to the CX-23035? All the best, Salar |
