Marantz CD 63 Drawer Won't Open

Just got a CD 63 figuring to join the Mod Squad here and elsewhere at some point. However, I DID want to hear the bloody thing stock ... but no, but no. The drawer won't open. It came with no remote from eBay, as advertised. However, all functions can be controled from the unit itself, as I remember from when I had one years back. I opened the hood to see if there was a CD in the drawer. No. I did note that the board was clean and spotless, obviously hadn't seen a lot of nuking and messing around. What to do. Help. Help. Of course, I could just wait until I get to modding the sucker.

Look at the underside of the case to see if the transport screws are still in place. They lock the drawer from opening up accidentally during transport. They need removing. If I remember correctly they were red in colour.

Nah, that's not it. Not unless the transport screws are under the service plate.
