Repairing CDM4/19 (with CDM4/31???)

I'm trying to get the laser pickup for my Rotel RCD-855 replaced, but I'm finding it very hard to find a replacement laser.

So I'd like to know whether there is a possiblity of using the CDM4/31 to fix my CDM4/19.

Now, I know that they are not drop-in replacements for each other. But I'm wondering how practical it would be to extract the optics from the /31 to fit into the /19.

Any ideas?

I'm kind of desperate...

I did place an order with them. They had no stock. Said delivery was 3 weeks off. But I'm a bit sceptical, seeing as it's now discontinued...

But I hope that I'm wrong.

In the meantime, I'm trying to find other solutions to my problem. If anyone can help, I'd be very grateful.

Hi, am from Singapore, I could get hold of Cdm4/19, for US$50, if you want it. Theres a shop here that sells the stuff. You have to pay the postage as well.

I did eventually receive my CDM4/19. it cost me £30, plus shipping.
