I've decided to install an external clock for my Esoteric DV-50, before getting one I decided to open it to locate xtal location. Xtal is located on the pcb under the transport here's a picture form it, any Ideas about external clock connection points, xtal seems to be feeding a Pioneer PD6345A chip, I tried to locate datasheet with no success.
Any Ideas? Best regards. |

Checking the board I found on the other side a clock generator IC (BU 2288), it generates all other frequencies used by this player using a 27Mhz crystal. Xin and Xout are now located.
According to datasheet Maximum input voltaje should be 0.8VDD, Vdd is 3.3V, (2.6V max). I'll try one Burson Audio external clock but, it's output is 5V, how can I lower this voltaje to feed BU2288 chip? (resistor values) Thanks. |
