In the German television often to see great music concerts (Jazz-Classic-Pop). The currently reception way to get medium and high quality video/audio signals is commonly about dish, and low noise converter (outdoor unit) so as a satellite receiver (indoor unit).
Since some years most users update their equipment to match the DVB norm (DVB = Digitale Versatile Broadcast).
Such receivers are equipped (like compact disc players) in most cases with an electrical and/or optical digital output (SPDIF, S/P-DIF = Sony Philips Digitaldata Interface).
Here an example:

in the attachement you will find the rear pannel view of one of the models from "Dream Multimedia"

All digital to analogue converters I know support the different sample rate from 32 KHz (compared to that one of CD - 44,1 KHz as I know).
Only not the Linn Numerik.
Why ?
What must I modify and who has a schematic?
Thank you for your advices

because there is only an "Audio Digital Input Circuit" for 44,1 KHz inside (SAA7274), an sample rate converter is necessary for SPDIF's by use of DVB-S satellite receivers or DAB tuners.
The best solution it could be to replace this old ADIC through an newer version from Chrystal (CS8414/CS8416).

Why bother? The audio signal is bad quality anyway, lossy compressed, 32kHz sampling...

here in Germany certainly (not all) DVB-S radio stations are much more better in sound than IP radio stations (web radio). Only for this stations an outdoor DAC brings real advantages.

Regarding the other you are right of course cause too much loss by compression.

Is it wise to upgrade the Numerik up to 24/96 + USB/SPDIF converter to listen at the best the FLAC from my MacBookPro cropped from the LP12 with the wonderful TC Konnekt 6 FW audiocard?
Best regards
