Default Sony CDP-350. Anyone know the dac chip used?

Hoping someone might know the DAC used in the Sony CDP-350 cd player. Manufactured in 1987. I know in the 80's that Sony used both Philips and BB chips. I'm looking for a player with a current output dac for trying passive i/v.

Sony's CDP-333ESD use the TDA1541 (current output dac) - go to
Sony CDP338ESD
Regarded the CDP-350 I guess, there are a PCM56P inside, but I am not sure.
This URL shows additional CDP's with TDA1541:

Interesting that you guessed about the PCM56 dacs. I was thinking this also. Thing is , I have owned several(many) Sony 80's players , but never saw them use the pcm56 chip. I am hoping it's the 1541 , but any current output dac is fine. Just don't want to spend the money on a Sony dac with voltage put.

You prefer a SONY with TDA1541 instead a Philips with this DAC. Why?
The realibility and life time of laser units from Philips (e. g. CDM1-4) is much more better than from SONY.

I own many Philips players with CDM-2/CDM-4 lasers , and you are correct that they are more reliable than MOST Sony lasers. I find the KSS-151 to be an excellent laser( I'm certain this CDP-350 does not have this). What I do like BETTER than the Philips is the digital filter. Several Sony players I own with TDA1541 dacs/KSS-151 lasers , just sound smoother to me. Even after similiar 'mods'(opamps, caps, decoupling, added regs) , the Sony player is just more pleasing. Even the Nakamichi CDP-2(mostly Sony, with their own 'mods') sounds much nicer.

But the point of my looking at the Sony CDP-350 is for passive(resistor) i/v with tube srpp output , and I just want a CHEAP player to 'fix'

It's been a VERY long time since I've seen a CDP-350, but I am fairly sure it uses a single Sanyo LC7880 or LC7881 16bit dual dac chip w/4xOS filter. That was the first series of really cheaply made Sony players, and I think the first series to use the KSS-150, later replaced directly by the KSS-210. Not a terrible player at all, and not nearly the most cheaply made Sony player, but not exactly a desirable piece.

Thank-you to all that responded.

Stephensank 'remembered' well ,and Nazar_lv is correct(just got the unit).
To bad it's not a current output dac , but you can't have everything for $10

LC7881 sonically is good dac if we do for it good power supply and output stage, and 1162 is not bad DF

If you had not made this statement ,I would have just put this player on the 'pile'. But you made me curious. I removed the op amps and disconnected surrounding traces. I made a direct connection to pins 1&20(rt/lft) via a poly cap I had available. I cannot believe how nice this LC7880(1) dac sounds. I made no other changes. I am amazed. Keep in mind that the output directly from the chip(voltage out) seems to be about 10db lower than with the LPF intact. It sounds full and sweet , with excellent treble. I have listened to this player(modded) for hours now , and I remain very impressed. I am really surprised this dac chip has not been mentioned around here. I can highly recommend giving this a try , especially since these chips are used in many cheap players.
