Deon DVD-2910 (or 3910) DSD/PCM tap?
Having just modified a Denon DVD-1920 to tap the DSD signal for use with the Buffalo32 DAC I have some ideas for something bigger
 Tapping the signals from the DVD-1920 is easy, but it requires manual switching between DSD and PCM. It is also very light and cheaply built, so I want something meatier. Would tapping the 2910 or 3910 at the DAC chip give me automatic switching of the DSD/PCM since there is no dedicated DSD lines to tap?

I will answer my own question here: No it will not give automatic PCM/DSD switching. The lines for the DSD and PCM are different so there will be a need for some kind of switch. Time to start poking around
