Default Car radio language text

Some new japanese cars have stock car audio (+touch screen panel) which it's menu (bass, treble, volume, etc) are in Japanese language. There is no language option, only Japanese available. Seems it's internal memory or something like that.

How to change this appearance (DIY re-write all the indicators) to English, is it possible/difficult to do?

Probably going to involve some reprogramming of proprietary code...

Or learn Japanese characters

You can probably re-program the firmware from a suitable CDROM disc. You'd have to get that from the dealers.

About reprograming/rewriting codes. Is there a webpage that explains how a language/text appears in touch screen panel? I have no clue about how it works.
