After years of comparing this two machines from Technics (1989) and Rotel (2001), I can say they are so close that I wonder where do evolution goes... If! I could upgrade de 555 to te same component quality of the 951 (blackgates, opas, ....) where will it end? mmmmmmm Does Any-Buddy have an SL-P555 shematic?? Is a masterpiece of layout PCB... included Elnas Cerafine for Analog decoupling... I suspect either discrete output...
BTW, I have an SL-P999... stock .. is incredible ... with headphones you feel 360ª soundstage, resolution to spare but not against musicality, "S" femenine words are soft and perfect.... Help! (HeHe....My setup today: Kenwood KA8100 32 years old recapped, Sl-P999 21 years old stock, Big OB panels 98 dB Spl ... , Nec plus Ultra!) Thanks in advance for that schematics... Cheers, Marcelo |
