Help Replacing Laser on Marantz CC-65SE

Hi. I think I may try to replace the laser on my Marantz CC-65SE. It sounds great, but the laser is skipping more now, etc.

My questions are:

1. Is this the correct laser replacement:

VAM 1201

2. Does anyone have a step-by-step plan for doing this? I know there are plans for replacing the laser on the cd-63SE, but I don't know of one for the CC-65SE. Once I can remove the platter, I'm sure the mechanism replacement procedures are similar so I can use that site with the CD-63SE instructions for that. But, in terms of accessing that part of the machine, does anyone have any tips?
