Default Repairing my Merdian263, need help

Hi folks,

My Meridian 263 DAC has been broken for 6 years now. I live in Thailand but had once asked my brother to carry it to USA and sent it to Meridian USA. Well, it was evaluated that the repair cost will be approx $600 (I bought the DAC for $800). Just don't see it worthwhile to increase its total cost to $1400, I asked them to return it back to me unrepaired.
I now finally have time to open it up myself (in Thailand). An input SMD chip was removed. The input has no way to reach the input receiver CS8412. Not only that, all the supply wires are broken from the terminal (no wonder that I can't fire it up).
Well, at first, the problem was that, out of 4 LED on the panel, the LED indicating EQ, Lock, and 44kHz didn't light up at all (the last two were supposed to light up to operate properly).
At this point, I have checked that all the supplies still work correctly. Analog section functions completely. It's still quite difficult to trace the circuits along the multi-layerd PCB. However, I have nothing to lose.
I think I can proceed if I got the datasheet for CS4328 DAC. Please suggest if you know where to download CS4328.pdf.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Nui,

do you have the schematic from Meridian? It might make the repairs a lot easier.

A few years ago I asked Meridian if I could purchase a service manual from them for my 203 DAC. At the time I was interesting in upgrading it with better power supplies, op-amps etc. Instead of sending me the price for the service manual, they sent me all the schematics for free.

Default Meridian 203 schematic to change from 240V to 120V

I just read your posting that you have the 203 schematic !

I have a 203 wired for 240V and now that I am in Canada, I wanted to change it to 120V.

I'd really appreciate if you are willing to share your copy of the schematic (even just the power supply portion) so that I can do the change over myself.

Thanks in advance and look forward to your reply
