Does anybody know somewhere to buy a decent chassis (at a decent price) for a CD-Pro2M transport? I have everything build and functional but I have not been able to box it in any decent way (for a few years).
Thanks, Nic Last edited by NicMac; 8th October 2009 at 07:23 PM. |

How about this ?
http://us.hifidiy.net/Article.asp?ArticleId=207 Looks good and I'm thinking of using it with a Twisted pear buff32 Dac. Is the Cdpro2lf indeed the best transport there is on the (diy) market ? Last edited by acidbrain; 8th October 2009 at 07:26 PM. Reason: question |

The new thread was inspired by your post.......
Are they reliable? Is there any pricing for the chassis alone? I'm mostly interested because I already have the CD-Pro2M lying around. All transports sounds great with B32S over SPDIF. Something magic about the way the buffalo deals with jitter!! Nic |

The price is 480 USD, that's incl. shippingcosts from China. Delivery can take 6-8 wks. I think they are trustworthy but I heard stories that small parts went missing during transport, because of faulty packing, but in the end everything went okay with the seller.

Any electronics included in the price? Controller, display etc? I assume that the transport is not in as they say something like "without laser unit".
Still it is about 2x the price of the transport........(that I already have). Nic |

I asked for a quote and they replied: "we don't ship to Italy"!
That certainly good customer care. |

I did not find a suitable supplier but maybe Armonia hifi (italy) or Tentlabs have something suitable.

The one from Armonia hifi is simply to ugly (and their web site was last updated 5 years ago...)!
http://www.armoniahifi.com/Foto/Cont4/001.jpg Tentlabs does not sell the chassis alone. The is also this one (but not for sale......). Look at 4th picture. http://diyparadise.com/web/index.php...=140&Itemid=27 Last edited by NicMac; 9th October 2009 at 09:13 AM. |

I made my own chassis. Took me quite some time :-)
