Try plugging in and turn on while you keep pressed play and stop.

Hi guys,

I have error message10 radial in service mode, any ideas.

When I press play sometimes the disc will spin (at speed) but not recognise a disc (display just shows disc) other times it sounds like a starter motor, obviously on a much smaller scale.

I have recently replaced opamps and mains cable.

thanks in anticipation of help

Steve

Have you fitted any clocks?

When in test mode 01 and you move the disc with your finger does the laser hiss?

Thanks Brent,

Laser does hiss. I have installed a rockclock recently although it was working fine until I opened everything up to install new opamps. I will recheck all solder joints here.

any ideas?

Have figured out the problem,

I had ruined the connection between the clock input and the DAC now hard wired.

The disc now spins and plays however I get no sound at all. I have just changed the opamps for ad843knz.

What were the original opamps... you haven't replaced dual with single ?

If it played OK prior to replacing these then it must be something you have done. Check the supplies to the opamps and then you need to trace the signal from the DAC through the opamps tp the output (scope)

Good news on the reading of discs. The hiss confirmed the servo was running.

The opamps well you have fitted single types instead of duals.
