hi all
Im looking at the pcm1741, as i would like to make a DAC to convert I2S to audio. And as easy as possible, i may add, as it more a proof of concept than HIFI - just yet. The PCM17xx together with many others DAC uses a master clock(clk), where the clk is a multiplum[128-1152] of Fs. What will happen if the clk is not the right multiplum of Fs, for instance: clk is chosen to be 128xFs. But Fs changes from 48 to 44.1. What will happen then, will the music sound terrible?, will the dac crash? Regards Tobias |

it won't lock and you will hear nothing, or garbage.
