I have a new VAM1250 that I've had in stock for too long for it to be anything but original Philips. I have no memory of what the darn thing cost me, but email me & we'll work something out, via paypal.

Thanks Steven, you've got mail.
Cheers George
are there by the follow supplier Philips or china clones available ??
VAM1250
The question is actually justified because Philips has a very long time no CD player models in their range of consumer electronic components
Actually it must be a part from China. But from which manufacturer? VCD-pickup or Threesixty?
about
VAM1250
(http_www.daisy-laser.com/products/CD/mechanisms/VAM1250/vam1250.htm)
I don't find any informations
By the way, there are two different hologram laser diode inside: by the older VAM1250 versions a TO metal outline (Sharp) and by the newer versions a flat "RESIN" (plastic) outline
