marantz cd 42 cd player

Hi everyone also have a marantz cd 42 cd player but the draw will not open. the pulley gear wheel has disintergrated. does anyone know where I can purchase a spare pulley wheel.

These gears break on alot of players, I've had this problem myself. I can send you one for the cost of postage, about $5 I'd guess. I have heaps of them lying around.

Make sure you grease the new gear, otherwise it wont last long. Use a non-agressive silicone grease.

No, sorry. I gave a whole bunch away, and what I have left I need for my own players. There are heaps of them for sale on eBay though, like this one here.

Ive just gone and ordered one. I will have a happy CD player very soon. Much better than the other option of attaching a handle to the tray. One less beautiful gizmo assigned to landfill, whoop, whoop!
