Sorry if this has ben discussed before.
If (and most do) your receiver or preamp have coupling caps on their inputs to block any DC that the audio may be riding, why have output coupling caps in the source devices (CD, SACD, DVD, etc)? I believe (in this case, anyway) that two wrongs don't make a right. I'm thinking of removing all output coupling caps, and letting my receiver take care of any DC that may be present. What do you think? Tom |

That's a good idea, but in case you are selling later those modified equipment, put the caps back in
