This is my experience on CDP mods
maybe you can try the others, to give info to this forum Supply from Sony CDP 750 ( 4700uf & 3300 uf ) - Nichicon Muse FX / FW & Panasonic FC : Sound become Warm - Nichicon Muse FX / FW & FX / FW : Open Sound but thin of bass - Blackgate std & Blackgate std : a little bit hars Supply from marantz cdp 46 ( 3300 & 2200 uf ) - Nichicon muse FG & General Elna : better staging - general elna & general elna : lack of bass & a little bit hars Supply from Shigaclone / JVC EZ 31 ( 3300 & 2200 uf ) - Blackgate F and blackgate Std : natural sound [?] like it alot - Blackgate std & blackgate std : a little bit hars caps for sony op amp (signal & supply) - BGN & BGN : natural sound - silmic for signal & cerafine for supply : cant describe it caps for marantz op amp (signal & supply) - cerafine & silmic : detail & good sparation |
