Question Color LED adjacent to CD lens, improvement in sound???

Did come across some articles long time ago about placing green or blue color LED near adjacent the CD lens, which will improve the reading capability and thus, sound quality too.Wondering does it make big differences???

If not mistaken,YBA CD players do have the blue LED adjacent to their CD lens.
