Marantz cd48 - new dac or just throw it?
Hi,
I have this cdp for some time and I find myself now wondering about all those differences about power amps - I cannot hear them with this cdp. So I am looking to improve this source. It has a optical output, apart from the analog ones. Should I build a dac to improve the sound and connect it to this optical output? Or the transport does not worth it? If I build a dac, it has to be very simple and on veroboard, as I dont want to make pcbs for it. And I really dont know if this optical output has some nasty circuitry behind it. Miguel |
