The drawer on my X505ES fails. It opens and closes again and again, and keep on doing that !! I have changed the belt, that drives the drawer, and meassured the blue switches in the (really good) drive mechanism.
the oppen/close botton is working ok. The drawer is also reacting to this botton. Does anybody know what could be the failure? Does anybody have have a diagram og know what is dra driver mechanism called for this CD player? |

Not specifically, but 99% of problems like this are mechanical. Not familiar with the model but check that the pickup is in it's "correct" rest position. Maybe worth moving it away from that and repowering and seeing if it returns correctly. Check that the drawer "limit" switches work by manually opening it and seeing that the switch closes cleanly and make sure that signal reaches the system control IC.
Check all the power rails, if one is slightly low strange things happen. Safety resistor gone high ? |

Usually this is caused by a tray or mech switch activating wrong or not at all. Is the mech fully synced up.

Thanks for input.I guess I am surging in the same direction as you would do.
there are two switches that are moved by the drawer, and they seams to open/close when activated. I will follow the signals as fare as i can. I think It is strange that it opens and closes all the time. I would have thought it would be stock in the open or closed position. |
