Talking Philips CD304 mods

I am happy owner of Philps CD304, Mk1 CD-player (11 kilograms heavy). I found this unit in our local second hand shop for the price of 30 Euro. The DAC is TDA1540. Is there any modifications to do with this CD-player? Is it possible to implement NOS DAC with TDA1541? Any help?

Thank`s in advance!
Regards!

Hi,

I am in the same situation. I bought the player for a small amount of money, and I want to improve it.

A question: does anybody have the specs (datasheet) of the chipset SAA70*0, and the dac TDA1540....

Thank You,
Miki.

Hi!
I'm looking for the datasheet for the SAA7010, 7020 & 7030, and for the CDM-1 transport...

Or: is there a "digital-out" pin on the filter-chip?
