I am trying to replace the clock on my Marantz 6000OSE CD player with a Kingwa clock
http://www.audio-gd.com/enweb/pro/diy/JZ-1.htm I was wondering if anybody can help me figure out where to connect the clock. I have the service manual and it seems that there are at least 3 places with a signal marked CLK (CLKOUT1, CLKOUT2, CLKOUT3). I was wondering if one should just disconnect all of them and connect the new clock there? I have seen some internet postings (not about this particular player though) which seem to suggest that different clocks in a CD player may be at different frequencies. Thanks for any help. I dont want to post a public link to the service manual but I can share it with you privately if you can help me. |

None of those places.!!!! You should connect your new clock to the XTin (pin36) of ic 7315 and remove the old Xtal, C2329, C2330, R3325 and R3326. Andy

I found that on the circuit diagram. Thanks so much!
Is it OK to just cut off the leads of the resistors and the capacitors? I am afraid of causing damage via desoldering. |

I am also putting in a new power supply for the SA7372 section. Do you know the best way to connect this power supply?
thanks! |
