Default Marantz CD85

A friend of me asked me of I wanted a Marantz CD85 to play with.

Is it worth the time or is it just better to trow it away?
DIY CD2M-PRO -> AKM4397 DAC -> Aikido pre -> GM70PP mono -> Martin Logan Vantage ESL -> Me!
