As you have noticed, they are used for a frequency demultiplier to get relevant LRCLK or word clocks. In the case of SDTrans192, it just requires a master system clock. It can't accept any external word clock input.

so if let say i would just like to use the clock as 22.5792mhz output i dont need 74HC163?

You don't need those counter ICs.

u mean if i want to merely multiply the clock frequency i don need 74hc163 and 74ac163? do i need sn75157?

You need the SN75157 for sine wave -> square wave conversion.
(It's a comparator.)

hi mr Bunpei.. do you mind to get me a circuit merely for sine wave to square wave conversion and clock multiplying? i really need it for clock multiplying and square wave conversion. Thanks.
