Default Marantz CD5400 - stuck cd drawer

Hi!

I recently reconnected my Marantz CD5400 into my system after it had been sat upstairs not being used for 6 months or so. During that time, the CD drawer had not been opening when the eject button was pressed - 'open' appeared on the display but nothing was happening.

However, I tried it a few weeks ago and everything was fine - it opened! - and so I moved it downstairs and it was ok until now, and now it's back to not opening at all!

It's really annoying cos it's a great sounding player - any 'quick fix' ideas to get it working reliably again?

Thanks in advance for your help!
