Sony DAT DTC77ES

Hi all,

My Sony DTC77ES DAT machine has just developed a fault. It records ok (as tapes play back on my other DAT) but will not playback either it's own new recordings or existing ones. This is very frustrating as the machine hs been superb! Any ideas in this one?

Have it serviced.
Parts might be hard to get by.
Rubber bands wear out, pinch rollers need replacing, etc.

And do consider an upgrade to more durable playback gear and ditto media.

I don't think I went into enough detail about the fault. All the tape transport functions are fine. Is is just no audio on playback, although the tape will playback on my other DAT machine so the recording has been made. Hope this is clearer!

It's going on ebay soon so i would sooner sell ir working!
