Hello soon I was get Sony STR-DG520
Link to STR- DG520 in UK site. , but I'm not satisfied with his sound. Is it posible some modification inside? Op-amps, caps etc? I also don't have shematic for this HT receiver. If anyone have it I will be happy if send it to me. Thanks in advance! Peace! |

I have an STR-DG500. I think the only useful modification would be to leave it in the front yard for someone to take away.
![]() It's design is to provide a lot of features as cheap as possible so there's not much worth improving. Just my opinion though. Really the power transformer is the weakest part, but also the most expensive part. It's rated for about 200w which means the amp can probably barely pull off 80w stereo if not less. I've got an old Sansui AU-D7 that is rated for 80w stereo output, but has a huge power transformer in it. |
