Ciao
...maybe you damaged the SAA7324. It's the main IC of the board, you can remove it cutting and desoldering the pins one by one. Philips sell it spare through their service net. If you need the service code of the SAA7324 I can give it to you. |

Hi Roberto.
Thank you for your reply & offert. Unfortunately I don't think the problem lies here. I had a problem with a switch and the CD pro remained for some seconds without clock. The optical group started moving from one side to the other like crazy, then stopped forever. Bye agalavotti |

Some time ago I switched on the cdpro with the ext. clock disconnected, the pick-up moved like crazy but nothing bad happened...
Are you sure that the cdpro is completely died? Don't you see any movement of the pickup? No TOC reading? In my experience when the cdpro seems died it's often a connector in a wrong position. Are the TDA7073 ok? they're the balanced drivers of the mechanical actuators, you should find around half supply voltage on the output pins. I've some service manuals of Philips products which use the CD10 chipset. It's the same chipset of the cdpro, the surrounding circuitry differs a little but these manuals could help you to find the problem. If you are interested give me a (large) mail address. |

Hello
I also have troubles with my CD-PRO2, it does not read the TOC. First, it does not play Hybrid SACD, then I cleaned the lens and now it not read any CD format. Someone can help me? |

Hi,
I got problem with CD-pro too. After modding, (give a +5v supply to pickup to FPC directly), pickup movement is normal without disc. But when I put the disc on, the disc is rotated in opposite direction and TOC can't be read. Please help. |

In Europe, you can now get CD-Pro2LF modules from AudioCDPro. I think they are located in France. |

You can check the focus function with the service commands of the CD-Pro module. |
