Since just a few days I've been experiencing problems with my Rotel RCD950. The sound is distorted, a bit cracking sound. When I'm playing a frequency sweep from a test CD there seems to be an extra tone coming along (bit lower with a strange mechanical sound to it). Any idea what the problem could be and how I should fix it?
I already had a go at the trimpot near the lens, but that didn't help (I don't really have an idea what I'm doing, but I'm enjoying myself anyway . Also I've cleaned the lens and did some serious resoldering and lubrification. I hope someone can help me, because I already spend some time and money on a new powercable (Belden) and was hoping to do some more modding... |
