Default Denon DN-2000F MKII, Dual CD Player

I just purchased a used Denon DN-2000F MKII, Dual CD Player, the kind with the separate head unit that cues and adjusts pitch, etc. It powers up just fine, will play a cd for about 30 sec then just stops. Does it on both sides. Any ideas or suggestions?
I only paid a few bucks for it, plan to use it for parties if I can fix it. Any help solving this will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks to all,
Jeff M.
