For 24/192 output:
Take 8 16bit 6.144ms/s dacs and average their outputs with resistors. Each dac refreshes 32 times per 192khz cycle. With the right input to the dacs that is 24/192. Interesting idea or dumb idea? edit: dac8580 |

My "two-cents" here - A quick read-through of the DAC8580 datasheet would indicate that this converter would more than likely have only average quality (rather noisy) audio outputs. It looks like it might be better suited to test equipment (signal generators) and ultrasonics...... HTH- |
