Have a nice sounding all format player, SACD, CD upsampling, DVD audio, Divx and so on. Modded the 6ch output (sacd) to better opamps and coupling C's
Coupling caps are Epcos 1uF MKP's (except LFE channel, kept the Lytic there) Opamps are swapped from LM833 to LM4562. Result is a much clearer sound, better detailed, but the deep bass the LM833 had is still there, a coloration is now gone from upper bass. Clock is a 27Mhz smd xtal to a inverter chip, didnt do anything on that. Added a KT 0.1uF 400V cap to the switching PS pcb over the 400V lytic big switching cap. Added some PC tantals over different PS caps under pcb. Removed mains cord for a socket with ferrite core. Decoupled audio opamps with 0.1uF MKT right near the chip. The 12V opamp PS is decoupled extra with MKT's The mixed channel (upsampling cd) must be done, 1 opamp will be ordered for that. I think of LM4562 again. |
