Sony 222esd :TDA1541 - CXD1088 KSS-151A
Sony 950 : TDA1541A - CXD1088A KSS-150A
Sony M95: TDA1541 - CXD1088 KSS-210A
This is what i found about these cdps but it isn't enough to make a dcision which one to buy.I think the 950 is better than 222esD(which is the same with 505ESD/910).Is the M95 as good as the 950 or 222esd? Can anyone help?
Thanks!

I have the M95. It's very good. There was a lot of plastic in it though, not a very substantial tray loader. It was quite a noisy player, especially later on in CDs where the 'whirring' sound was quite noticable between tracks. I ripped out all the plastic crap and bolted the mechanism to a thick block of wood which used to be the plinth from some old speakers. Then i cut a hole in the lid to fit the spinner through, re-lubed the mechanism and gave it a re-spray.

Sound is very good, punchy and dynamic. Mine has the TDA1541A. I have done no mods to the electronics at all so far and i'm happy with it. It's one of the quietest CDPs i have mechanically and signal wise; even at full volume there is no audible noise from the speakers at all until the music starts.

I would suggest the CDP-222ESD.

It doesn't sound too bad in stock form, but with some tweaking you can achieve very good results.

It has a two layer PCB (top layer is used as ground plane), better (but more expensive) transport than the other players purposed and a very good PCB layout.

The fact that it belongs to the ES line is another plus. Also, it's packed with quality parts: for example - Nichlion Muse and Elna caps all the way...

Cheers!
