Default Reclocking Sony CDP-710 for practice

I'm rather new at this DIY stuff but I've been having a ball. I'm looking to move on from headphone amplifiers (chu moy and PPA) and a phono stage (Cornet2 + Cinemag) to CD players. I thought I'd buy an old cheap CD player to play with and replace the clock for starters, just to see if I'm getting in over my head. I bought a Sony CDP-710 on ebay for a song and after persuading the drawer mechanism to work set to the task of finding the crystal frequency for the main clock so I could order the right kit. Alas, the frequency is not stamped on the crystal (as I understand it often is), only 741-11R7B. The owner's manual and service manual are of no help - I only got the part number (1-567-741-11). Online references list the clock frequency of many different players from Sony, but not this one, and the others are all different. I contacted Sony but they're not being cooperative. Can anyone out there help me out with this? I'd really appreciate it!
