Sony CDP502ESII vs Yamaha CDX-993
Hi all!
Has anybody listened to any of these two cdp's? I'm wondering which one is worth buying. Here are some specs Yamaha:two transformers, class A all stages,weight 9.6kg, DAC:YAC514-F - CXD2545Q, s/N 118db, dynamic range 98db Sony  AC 2 x PCM53JP-V-K, weight 8.5kgThe price for the sony is around $160 and $240 for the yamaha which is around 4 years old. Have the Yamaha cdx-993.
Did put a XO3 clock in it and have connected to a modified cs4397 China dac kit. Did not like the sound of the internal dac. As a transport it is great it skips on some cd's though (common problem). kind regards Rien. |
