Hello - I'm brand new to diyaudio but frequent AA a lot. I'm curious what you all think about this white paper from Cambridge discussing their unique approach to jitter reduction in their 840C CD player.
Here's the link to the PDF http://www.cambridgeaudio.com/assets...perwebedit.pdfWhite Paper |

There's nothing unique about it, they license it from Anagram technologies in Switzerland who are effectively a digital ip design and development house. The upsampling, 'scrambling' and reclocking process they license is well known and used in some very high end players, infact the CA840 is the only one you can buy that uses it for under 4k Euro.
As an 840 owner, i can tell you that it works well, for the money, insanely well. though it's only as good as the clock and the power supply regulation inside the player. Adding a tentlabs shunt and further decoupling to the clock supply increased its performance notably. Adding local reg to the digtial power supply for the DAcs did the same. Nothing is perfect but this does what it says on the tin.
