Sony Laser Mech..Arcam
Hi Folks
Does anyone recognise this Sony Mech, strangly there's no model number stamped on the plate! It's from an ARCAM 'CD62' which seems to be different to the other Diva CD players!

Thanks in advance..

What's wrong with it ? What's the KSS number on the pickup. ?

Hi Mooly
The lazer is the KSS 213 variant in which i have a new one. I need a new mech but unable to identify the unit number of the above. The mechs not a KSM 213CCM.used in the 'CD73' As this is he.

That's the one I've seen. What are you trying to fix ? You can swap motors etc over, or is the fault on the PCB.

Hi Mooly

Yeh there a problem with it.Just best to swap the lot really

I'm puzzled why Sony have not printed the unit number on the chassis!

Dunno where you will get one. Think I can see a Sony Pt No on the PCB. Going to be expensive  I bet.

Have you fitted a new laser and it doesn't work ? Is there a shorting link ( solder blob ) on these to be removed first ? Just a thought :)
