Default CD PRO2 I2S doubt

Dear all,

Understand that there is I2S output on the Philips CD PRO2 transport. Is this output active by default and ready for use for direct connection to DAC chip that accepts I2S? Or activation must be done via the DSA control?

I have done my search in this forum but there is no clear indication anywhere, please advise and help me. Thank you.

I have the CD-Pro2. The I2S is active at all times by default. Bear in mind that clocking is at 48fs, rather than the (more common) standard 64fs. This will make the unit fundamentally imcompatible with some dacs (Twisted Pear Buffalo as an example).

But with compatible dacs it works very well.

4 hrs apart. I'm actually much closer than you think.
Only problem now is that work commitment has taken
a major slice of my time away from my diy projects.
