Hi, anyone have an idea for a high end, but simple to do diy dac? I want to use spdif input and rca output. M a student and prefer to make a good dac instead of buying a good dac for a high price. Would appreciate all your suggestions. Thank you.

I have this one, high-end without a doubt:
http://www.tnt-audio.com/clinica/tnt1541_e.html But change ... C316, C323 to at least 1uF MKT (MSB bits) ... remove C407, C408 ... change R422, R424 to zero Ohm ... remove R421, R423 ... add approx. 680nF paralel to I/V resistor (30 Ohm) (tune the amount of highs) ... no decimator and "wildmonkey tweak" for CS8412. |
