Problem with NAD 502 cd player

Hello,

I found one of these on the street the other day. Decided to pick it up, as I have heard it produces pretty good sound

Unfortunatelly disc would spin and play, but the laser would skip a second or two from time to time.
I got a new laser module for it (KSS-210A); replaced the old one and... disc would not spin anymore

any idea what could have happened with it and how to fix it?

Hi,
New 210's come with a shorting link (Solder Blob) to short the Laser Diode.
Regards Karl

And do not alter the pot on the optical block.
