Hi,
I have a pda (well more like a mini laptop - clamshell with keyboard and 5" TFT screen). Been wanting to add a SPDIF digital out to it so started investigating if it might be possible, what chip it had installed etc. The datasheet at http://www.wolfsonmicro.com/uploads/...705_Rev4.4.pdf confirms that there is an SPDIF out on the chip. Pin 48 is marked as SPDIF but I am not sure where I would attach the ground. Also just noticed pin 44 is SPDIF hardware enable PIN and I2s out (what would I need to provide to this pin to enable the SPDIF out?) Also if I wanted a digital out can I just take the signal straight from the chip to a socket for the digital-out? or would I need to feed it through some components to make it suitable to be attached to a DAC? Any advice and info greatly appreciated. John |
