Hello:
Recently, I happen to come across a fairly highend digital processor - the Theta Pro Gen V. Looking into its analog board, I find PMI made AD707 Opamps.
Are they any good ? The Theta unit used to cost $6k some 10 yrs back and wonder whether this opamp is at par with say today's OPA627 etc.
Feedback will be most appreciated.

I found that a blown AD707JN (-15 V on the output) in my Theta Gen Va created a cascade of events that resulted in several blown transistors, burned resistors and melted polystyrene capacitors.. Would it be a good idea to pro actively substitute all of them with newer ones or some other substitute?
