Seeing a lot of members are having problems getting belt replacements for their CD players here is a quick fix for that stretched (loose) slipping belt, this is not meant to fix perished dried out belts.
1: Remove the belt in question, clean the belt and don't forget the pulleys with Methylated Spirits (alcohol)
2: Boil the belt in boiling water for 10mins making sure it is NOT laying on the bottom of the pan.
3: Remove the belt and drop into a glass of ice water for 1 min.
And there you have it, one shrunk belt while not as good as buying a new one, will get you out of trouble.
