I have a Motu 828mkII audio interface and the mechanical buzz from the transformers is driving me nuts!
I have tried tightening/loosening the mounting screws of the trannies but makes no difference. I guess the main mechanical coupling to the pcbs is via the solder points. There doesn't seem to be anywhere convenient or effective to mechanically isolate using rubber grommets. Is there a cheap and simple external solution? e.g. build a DC removal filter to filter the AC from the mains? isolation transformer? any tips appreciated! |

ask for a replacement - or try to get some pressure on it (feltpads, cablewrap) or put the transformer in a Box, and fill it with epoxyd glue like Araldite. (not the pins...)
