Who can help me with Electrocompaniet ECD1 DAC ?

Hi everybody,

I have a Electrocompaniet ECD-1 DAC to repair.

The toroidal xformer has burned (yes, fire inside). I suppose a primary defective insulation.

The fire destroyed all the caracteristics and I can't read anymore.

It would be very kind if someone who have this DAC can do a measure on the secondary of the xformer so I could have a new xformer build by a local factory.
A schematic could also help me to investigate (no service manual found on web)

I tried to contact local french sale services but no reply at this time.

I’m sorry but we don’t send schematics to others then authorize service points.

Please contact our distributor in the country you live in. He will be able to order the needed transformer for you.

You can choose the right country on our web site www.electrocompaniet.no if you go to distributors.

I'm a bit disappointed as the french service did not reply to my Thuesday's request.

I'm afraid that they will say that I have to send the DAC, wait to have a cost and pay for diag + return if I did not accept the cost.

So, if someone could be kind enough to do some measure, I could try to remplace the transformer by myself (I have spare transformers) to evaluate if it's working or not.

Still can't manage with french after sales services. Did not reply to new xformer furniture.

So, If someone could help me, I will offer a french wine bottle.....
