A friend of mine gave me a Harman Kardon HD7600 CD player manufactured in Japan in 1990.
I plugged it in and it sounds pretty darn good. My philips dvd-963sa that has been modified a ton still sounds better, but I wanted too see what this player can do?
I took the cover off and found a nice Sony pickup with a pretty stable looking transport.
The circuit board looks well layed out and clean with no surface mount. I only saw one opamp from JRC and that looks like its for the headphone out.
Is it possible that there are no opmaps in the output?
Has anyone modded this player?
